Hi Folks,
There are so many makes out there I'm just bamboozled - anyone got recommendations ?
I've had 2 Zanussis - the first lasted almost 20 years with nothing ever wrong , then the motor went.
This one is about 10 years old and needs fixed every couple of years & now the motherboard is obsolete
So unhappy and the weather is so good

Miele. Could/should do you for another 20 years. Some come with 10 year guarantee.
Checkout their website for deals as well as other retailers.0 -
Budget will dictate
Just watch hotukdeals for a bargain offer on anything decent.

Be carefull on specs they may say 10kg but that is only the hot cotton wash, the rest will be 1/2 that.
Also be carefull on wash time, to be EU friendly thay have to use no water so the wash takes hours unless it has do a wash properly option.0 -
I recently brought the LG one that is on offer in Currys.

Used a voucher on 02 Priority Moments to get an extra £25 off (£25 off £250 spend).
I have been really pleased with it. Very quiet. I was later told that it was one of the Which best buys0 -
Have a look at the Samsung range, a lot of their reasonably priced models come with a 5 year parts and labour warranty, something you only used to see on the more expensive brands.0

We are happy with our Whirlpool. It washes well and uses very little electric.0

Our current rented flat has a Samsung and we've been really impressed - you really do notice a difference with a 1400 spin and the clothes feel much cleaner than with our old machine. We're moving out soon but we think that we'll be buying a Samsung for our new place. There's also the added bonus that it plays a little tune when it's done0 -
Miele every time!
Yes it is a sizeable outlay at the start, but in terms of 'whole life' costs are by a long way the cheapest machines to have. Not only that will wash better than any other make!
Beg, borrow and steal if you have to!0
