Cheap fencing/garden divide

Hello I'm hoping someone can give me some advice, I need to put up 2 lengths of fence/divide In my garden as my neighbours garden is a mess I only need 16ft length to a corner then 10ft length off that. I have had some quotes for fencing from a couple of local places but the price is mental. I have also got the price of parts to do it my self but that still works out expensive. My question is what other options are out there to to ad a divide that is private but will also not block to much light from my neighbour, also I need as cheap as possible as I'm on very tight budget. I would be very great full for any info and welcome all ideas as long as it's strong and won't blow down.
Thank you
Thank you

Got any power tools?
Pallets have plenty of wood in them, they can be cut up, stained and made good enough for a fence.0 -
Hi thanks for reply, I have power tools yes, bit shoud of mentioned in first post that I want approx 5ft high, I was thinking of putting in some posts building a frame and just covering with some type of screening like bamboo slat just untill I can afford a proper fence but I'm not sure how strong it will be in the wind. Or is this a stupid idea.0

I'm just about to install some fencing, doing it myself. For a 9 meter area I've order 100 1.8 meter featheredge boards, cost £81 (all delivered), 5off 4 inch 8 Foot posts, £46 and 12 rails at £45. This was from Hancock and Brown in Swansea, bought online.
Cheap and will look good and needs no painting (IMO). Pretty easy to fit. You could also not use boards and buy panels but I prefer boards, easy to replace broken ones and fence panels at the cheaper end of market never last.
Also need postcrete and nails etc but all in a pretty cheap and effective job. Loving the pallet idea though!0 -

Plenty of advice on google. Me, for a 1.8 meter high fence in a relatively secluded area (ie, no really high winds), I space posts around 6 feet apart (you can go a little further apart if it helps), 8 foot posts at around 2 foot into ground, secure with postcrete (if into soil). Rails...I tend to use around 75mm x 45mm, bigger if more strength needed. Fix either top and bottom (6-9 inches in from top and bottom) or possibly even 3 rails if required. Most guides have the rails attached to the outside of the posts, however I prefer attaching them in the inside, looks better IMO. Then attach featheredge. Simples! Some other tips, use either gravel boards at the base, or string to get a nice top edge.
Another approach I've used for high wind areas, or to let more light it, is instead of feather edge use normal boards, something like 3x.75 inch, but leave a small gap (under half inch) between the boards. Its surprising how private this still is, you can only really see through if you are stood dead straight on one of the boards. More expensive approach.
BTW, I'm not a 'fencer' (I'm an IT manager!) but I like to dabble, pro's may offer better advice.0 -
get some Heras fencingNever, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0

Thank you for your help very useful I will look into what you have said and get some prices, I did look at the site you mentioned but they don't deliver to my location but I'm sure I'm sure I will find something local. I was going to to put up my own fence but it worked out expensive but that was for the prebuilt panels but your idea looks cheaper.0 -
Get something fast growing like ivy, then if you make some sort of cheap frame let the plants grow over it.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.
