Mortgage and Income Support

I have been a carer for my son for a number of years. I am receiving income support so only the interest on my mortgage is being paid by IS. Some years ago my ex husband took a secured loan on the property, I have been left to pay this too ...

Before everyone advices I should chase him for payment - I Know - but you cant get blood from a stone and I have enough battles and choose the ones I may win!

I am here to ask if anyone knows what help, if any, there is for my scenario:-

the secured loan (which I have concentrated on paying as they would be less reasonable) is up in 2 years and will be completed.

My mortgage; some of the interest is being paid by IS and I makeup the shortfall. The mortgage was originally a endowment policy but I realised after my husband left that this was not being paid therefore the entire original sum of 70,000 remains outstanding with the term of the mortgage due to end in 3 years.

sometime ago my lender indicated they may extend the term of the mortgage but their policy may have changed in the past year and may be reliant on my obtaining employment. I have just learnt about the mortgage rescue scheme - now that it has finished!

Any advise on where to get help or knows of similar cases and their outcome would be good.

we are actually still married but have been separated for the past 8 years. He originally agreed to continue paying the secured loan but this was sporadic at best and then stopped.

This is confusing if you are still officially married doesn't have your husband still an interest in the property? Are the mortgage and deeds under your name only?
