Fifty years since opening its doors, Daphne’s restaurant is still synonymous with gorgeous Italian food and classic style. Opened by theatre agent Daphne Rye (who famously ‘discovered’ Richard Burton, for which we should all be grateful), the eatery has a glamorous new look. Highlights include a pink marble topped bar, Fifties Italian Murano glass chandeliers and eye-catching European modern art. And that’s all before you get to the food and new cocktail menu.
To celebrate Daphne’s birthday, we’re giving away dinner and cocktails for two. Our recommendation? Enjoy your beef carpaccio and lobster spaghetti with a Marco Polo cocktail (amaretto, martini rosso, pineapple juice, citrus and pomegranate) or the ‘truffled’, made with truffled honey.
