Advice on ESA support Group Letter

Hi all I need some advice. My father have been put in the support group following his re-assessment which he sent his ESA50 form off July 2013. This was after a Face to Face on June 12 2014, so 10 months nearly to get assessed.

He was switched from IB to ESA WRAG in November 19 2012, and of course was on ESA CB for 365 days. His re-assessment form came in as they claimed he could return to work in a year, which was unrealistic. So he returned his ESA50 and heard nothing due to the backlog.

Still attending his WFI every 4 months he had to fill in a ESA3 so that he could switch from CB to ESA IR which he did and after his pension etc was down to £34 ish instead of the £186 on IB and I was told that ESA IR was £141 ish.

Anyway he has now been put in the support group as he had a letter from DWP and it says that he is now on £186 from 14 June to November 28th.

My question is how come now he have gone back up to £186 as I think the letter says it is CB now he is in the Support Group. And what happens after Nov 28th? will he have to re-apply yet again for IR ESA or will the CB still continue as long as he is in the support group? as I thought after the 365 days that is it for CB?

Thanks for any help you can give us as it has been an ordeal and now relief and a slight confusion over this. Thanks.

Contribution based has no time limit in the support group so as long as he stays in it his money will continue.

The date is simply because the first week of December is when the £10 Christmas bonus is due so for one week it will change before reverting to the normal amount.

Also he doesn't have to go to WFIs when in the support group.

Cheers for that, much appreciated. It just confused me as he went from CB to IR and now back to CB.

I am guessing that it was cause the re-assessment took 7 months after the 365 day rule ran out on 19th Nov 13 that the claim was still carrying on from his original award in the WRAG from November 19th 2012 after his move from IB to ESA.

I know he has to notify now his advisor to cancel his October WFI appointment. Thanks again.
