EXPIRED Ancestry special offer

For those of you who love of tracing your family history I have just stumbled across this offer on ancestry.co.uk.

Normally £12.95 per month or £107 per year, this is a really good chance to get access to lots of records for only £5 per month for 4 months(then it reverts back to normal) However you can cancel it when you want to.

I have found ancestry to be the best one out there by far,and I have been doing family research for many years.

I rang Ancestry last night to ask a couple of details about it.The person I spoke to had not heard of the offer!! I had to tell her where I had found the link and what page it was on . She then put me on hold and after 5 minutes confirmed yes I could take up the offer ,it finishes tomorrow night(Sunday).

Not a good start, however Ancestry is still the best site,so I will sort it out tomorrow when I finish work.

and this states just that.So they are a bit naughty removing it early.Perhaps more people than they thought have taken it up but then that's good cos they might want to keep going at the end of the offer.

When i click on it it says i am inelegible for the offer ,as i am logged in already.maybe it might work for those of you who aren't.

    Hi
I have just used the ancestry link posted by Froglet and was able to get 1 month for £5. O.K its not the 4 month deal but still better than £12.95. Hope it is useful for some Family historians. Good Luck. Thanks Froglet

I tell you what,it has been fantastic so far,my sister gave me the £20 as a birthday present and it is one of the best I have ever had.I have found out so much!!I have discovered the will of my great great great grandfather on my dad's side,in 1826 ,sadly written as he lay dying .His youngest child of 8,aged only 6,was mentioned along with 3 others, all quite young. How tragic, dying at only 57.

There are lots of probate details up to 1970,giving exact death dates and mentioning family.I have found family who signed and got medals in the war,and my father aged 4 and his parents on a slow boat to Singapore in 1926 where my grandfather worked as a clerk in the gold mines of Sarawak.Sadly my dad died some years ago but this brings all those times I spent with my grandparents(on both sides) almost back to life again.

I just cannot understand how anyone would NOT want to trace their family history it is so exciting!
