tax credit and trust funds

Hi all
I am about to fill in my renewal pack for tax credit but during the past year have started to receive money monthly from a trust fund. The trust fund is in my parents name but like I said I receive the money into my bank. When I fill in my return, do I need to claim it along with my own income from my job or because the fund isn't in my name (even though I receive the money from it) do I just let them know about my earnings?
Thanks in advance

I do not know about the effect on tax credits, but depending on the nature of the trust, there may be income tax considerations for the Trustees/beneficiaries.

In principle, can you take legal action to gain access to all of the money now?
Many benefits will, if you can, take into account the capital too.0
