Hi
I wonder if someone could give me advise as to what i should do?
I have in years gone by had financial diffuclties. However, I have worked hard at correcting this and thankfully am in a much stronger and positive position.
I have recently had various defaults wiped from my credit report and am happy to say I am default free. However, i have 1 credit card which i would very much like to tarnsfer to a new one as I am being offered 0% on balance transfers (never defaulted on this and paid it off as much as i can every month)
The question is this. Is it advisable to do it now as I intend later in the year to apply for a mortgage and dont wish there to be yet another credit check on me that could count against me. Therefore do I stick with my current lender paying the apr on the account or should I make the transfer with 0% paying it off but it go on my credit report as a search and ultimately as another lender to my report.
Trying to do whats best for the long run for the mortgage application
If anyone can advise I would appreciate it
thanks

the mortgage will depend upon what's on your credit files
and your income
and debts
an application or two for CCs don't affect things much0
