I bought a Brand new printer from ebay, it was sold without print cartridges, but you could pay an extra 16.95 and the seller would send a set of compatable cartridges. IT was advertised with 12 months on site warranty by the manufacturer. When the printer arrived and i installed the cartridges the printer would not accept them. I rang the On site help line number only to be told that the warranty wolud be void if original cartridges had been used. They asked the serial number of the printer and then asked what was the name on the cartridge. So i have a brand new printer with no warranty.Do i have a claim against them with Paypal.

IMO no, because you installed the catridges without reading the t&cs of the warranty.
Whats the printer model and what make are the compatables? If the compatables don't work email the seller and ask for assistance. If they are faulty claim on the catridges.
Not being funny, but are you sure you've set the printer up correctly, and installed the catridges correctly.0 -

Its an Epson R360, The cartidges are Pro-Jet P-J-801 to 8060 -
They're the correct cartridges, so assuming they're installed properly, with the (possibly) yellow tabs properly removed, and you accept the 'you're using compatables' notice that appears on the PC, what exactly is the error message appearing.
Cartidges can be known to fail due to the green chip on them working loose, or not working at all. But all 6 failing would be unusual.0 -

Ask for a refund on the cartridges, buy originals and see if the printer is working.0

I have an Epson Stylus Photo R300 and Pro-Jet cartridges. I remember the first time I changed from Epson cartridges>Pro-Jet cartridges the printer wouldn't recognise them at all. I was obviously doing something wrong although I don't know what. As I had bought them from eBay I contacted the seller who talked me through installing them correctly.
Perhaps you haven't installed them correctly. Either that or the cartridges are faulty because they should definately work.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--
