Car tax i thought dvla but it was a third party can i get my money back

Hi everyone just looking to see if anyone has had the same issue,
i am a working mum of 5 kids, and tired.
The other day i went to pay my car tax on my 7 inch (my fault in a way i should have don it on the computer)screen tablet, i went on and thought ooohhh its slightly changed as asked me a couple more details than usual! but didnt think anything of it until my bank statment turned up!:mad:
i found i had be charged 100 + for my tax which was £70 so i called the gov website number which stated had a been on goolge which i said yes. they then proceded to tell me that i was not on the official website ??? but it looked the same
plus there is nothing they can do about it :eek:
has anyone had to deal with this

Which website was it?
Have you checked their terms and conditions? Some allow a refund minus an admin fee.0
