I am Planning a one week holiday to switzerland in june.
was shopping around for 8 Days swiss saver Pass ( traveling two persons together)and found that the cost of buying it from sbb site is around £130 per person. ( after conversion).
if i buy from swiss travel centre london the cost is £141 per person.
if I buy from https://www.raileurope.com ( US site ) the cost is around £113 per person.
did anybody deal with raileurope in the past ? they post the passes to UK ?
or if anybody guide me buying the passes cheap in UK...

Rail Europe have office in London so I very much doubt that they will sell you a pass from the US but still there's no harm asking.
I have bought a Swiss Pass both from the Swiss Travel Centre (which can be bought on line) and in Switzerland from the the SBB at Zurich and Geneva its a matter of playing the currency game.
Another alternative is the Swiss Half Price ticket if not travelling too intensiveley you can always buy a day ticket with this pass if you want to do a full day excursion.Waddle you do eh?0 -
I called raileurope US office to confirm if they sell swiss rail passes to UK residents.
they said yes but postage and handeling will be $60
thats all I was about to save ...
what to do now..
Please help..!0 -
Don't get too stressed about it because the Swiss Pass is a good deal anyway!
If you haven't had your moneys worth by the end of the week then you have been sleeping in too long!
If I was you and for peace of mind I would go for the double Swiss Pass.
Where exactly are you going in Switzerland?
If staying in one area you could consider a Regional Pass you of course will be resticted to that region but the Passes tend to cover more local transports than the Swiss Pass does.Waddle you do eh?0 -
