Hi Fish
Took 2 weeks from application to getting the offer through. We made sure to have every thing with us at the interview stage though. Took 3 hours:eek: but in the end everything has gone through pretty smoothely.
Up date text were help full and let us know what they were up to.
Hope it works out for you.Stick to the track, dont be trapped by Babylon!0 -
Not so good for us, we had our 3 hour appt 26th April. Had all the paperwork. Took 2 weeks till valuation/homebuyers happened. Got text saying goods news valuation was satisfactory, now still no news on mortgage offer. Advisor on holiday again. Will have to chase again Monday. ... guess it depends on the advisor and local caseload. Good luck.0

14 weeks for us, not helped by an incompetent mortgage adviser! probably better if you apply direct.0

I applied in branch on Fri 2nd Dec (2 previous appointments cancelled by the advisor so I had to delay going on holiday so I could get it done in time). Took nearly 4 hours due to the advisor having sausage fingers and filling the on-screen boxes wrongly. Valuation done 8th. Also contacted me on 8th (whilst I was abroad) to advise I'd not supplied my most recent paypacket (yes I had)so I explained that sausage fingers most definitely had a copy. Voicemail on 14th (still abroad) saying they still didn't have a pay packet (oh yes they bloody well did!) so I shouted a lot about sausage fingers, they emailed his manager and then mortgage offer though on 19th. Would probably have been around 11 days had it not been for sausage fingers.0

Hello. My husband and I applied for a Nationwide mortgage today and we were accepted for the decision in principle but now have to wait until 17th June for our full application. I was just wondering, does the fact that we have had the decision in principle accepted mean that we are likely to get the mortgage? The reason I ask is because before we applied for Nationwide we applied for a post office mortgage but we were declined at initial application stage. So we are now worried whether we will be accepted for this mortgage too and we dont know whether its a case of waiting until the 17th June to find out? Also, does anyone know how long it generally takes after the full application call to receive the mortgage offer?0

Is an interview a regular stage in the process now? I never heard of this previously from people who applied through an IFA.0 -
We did our application through a mortgage advisor, didn't have an interview but she went through our finances in detail. Guess it depends how you apply.
We are waiting for our written mortgage offer now following our offer text last week. It seems to be taking forever.0 -
Interview and full mortgage application submitted (directly) - 30th April. Valuation done 29th May. Now awaiting confirmation offer...0

Our solicitor received our offer in writing today, hopefully our copy will be there when we get home. The are asking us for proof of buildings cover on exchange and also a copy of the valuation. My solicitor said that the valuation should be in with the offer when I receive it.0
