Hi..
I would be interested to read responses from people who can quote their pre surgery prescription/condition with some level of knowledge and accuracy.
I would like to hear what your personal experince is.
What was your prescription/condition prior to surgery?
Did you wear contacts or glasses before surgery?
Who /what organisation did the surgery?
How long ago?
What was the immediate post operative outcome say two weeks downline?
Has your vision stayed the same or worsened?
If worse, what remedies have you sought?
Thanks

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

Had lasik at Optimax (finchley road) back in 2000. Was short-sighted (-8 and -9) and wearing gas permeable contact lenses at the time. 14 years later eyesight is still perfect. Didn't hurt at all during the surgery (due to anaesthetic eye drops) but 5-6 hours later was in slight discomfort...feeling of having grit in your eye. Was able to see without contacts after 24hrs, but took 5-6 days for eyesight to settle down. Cost £1400.
Missus had lasik at Optimax Glasgow a couple of years ago and again no issues - her prescription was around half of mine. She paid £2200.0 -
Was the best thing I ever did.
Actually second best thing ever after going travelling around the world.0 -
Had lasek at Optimax bought mine off ebay probably about 12 years ago now maybe more. Cost about £800 for both eyes.
Wore glasses daily pre operation was mildly short sighted in one eye mildly long sighted in the other.
Lasek was extremely painful (hubster had lasik) which was painfree .. Never regretted it.
Was told i would still probably need need reading glasses eventually ..not there yet though.
Went I went for my post op checkup 2 weeks after I had 20 20 vision but had to use eye drops for about a month in total after the op.Spelling courtesy of the whims of auto correct...

At the consultation i was told they would only go ahead with surgery if i had a stable prescription...luckily i had (was 23 at the time). Your cornea has to have a minimum thickness which again wasn't an issue in my case. I had to wear glasses ~3 weeks before my surgery to let my eyes return to their natural shape as contacts alter the shape of the eye - i was wearing rigid gas permeables, I did have some astigmatism again this wasn't an issue. I was a nervous wreck on the day of the surgery but was given some pills which relaxed me0
