Have £75000 to save what the best account

Me and my partner have come into £75000. We intend to use the money as a deposit for a house but with the market as it is we want to wait until we've found the right place, and possibly for prices to plateau.
What we need is the best interest from an account that we can access quickly should we find somewhere, and that we can add to. Could anyone advise us on what might be a good account to go for?
Thank you in advance.

To maximise your return, use multiple current accounts, see http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/savings-loophole
Alternatively, if that's more hassle than it's worth, go for more traditional instant-access savings: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/savings-accounts-best-interest0 -

Sorry........the bold phrase made me snigger a bit!
Are you sure that prices will ever plateau?????
Apart from that, there are lots of high interest current accounts that you could open (i.e. TSB will allow you to open 2 each partner and 2 joint...at 5% then there are Santander123 and Nationwide Felx Direct....and some regular savers i.e. First Direct)...you have to manipulate things a bit, but worth the effort and the best thing is they are all "Instant access - cash" so if you decide to buy a house you retain the flexibility of instant access. (check the T&Cs of all the accounts mentioned though)
Good Luck, Make the most of your windfall, they dont come along often enough!:A Goddess :A0
