When I did F&F back in 2006 my offers were for a max of orig capital amount borrowed for the loans & HP ones which worked out at a max of 65% - the credit cards got 50%. All agreed & I paid them over the phone by debit card.

You need to get creative on their expectations then.

The ones that they think they have paperwork for. Have you got that paperwork checked? Maybe on CAG - there are some experts there. You may find it isn't as tight as they would have you think.

Have you reviewed your I&E now you are renting and updated that with them?

I am thinking of a letter that simply says
"Persuant to our agreement, my circumstances have changed. I have recently moved in to rented accommodation. Due to the increased ongoing costs involved, I find that I can now only afford £X.XX a month". Preferably X is £1 a month for those that have dropped off your credit history.

These are suggestions, of course and the last one might carry some risk with original creditors.

However, if they were going to issue proceedings it would have happened in the first year or so. The fact that they haven't makes me wonder as you were a house owner at the time.

What is this CCA stuff all about? I have debts worth about £50000, paying £390 a month and Debt free date 2024.

My debts are with credit card companies and the Natwest bank, so how will they fail a CCA request?

usually 75% is the lowest they'll go

Nonsense, I'll informed and must do better! :p

Write off, 10%,20%, 30, 40,50,60 and so on. All have been achieved and all will continue to be achieved. You just have to pitch in and see what happens.

Ps. Looking at your signature, you don't work for a debt collector by any chance?

With the two that have been passed between many, many agencies.....hmmmm.....write back and try again at the same rate, also include a note requesting a copy of your credit agreement, see what they have on you. Might spook them and This is a game remember.

Also include the note above from lensman. The cca request has to be in the right wording but you can attach a little note as lensman says.

Could be fun this one, CAG, Leagle beagles and a 'll ab ou t de bt are very useful sites with tremendous people advising.

I am dealing with NCO Eruope on behalf of Amex been negotiating for 2 months and NCO have said that amex will take 50% as the f&f settlement so this looks to me like the debt has not been sold on but they are acting on their behalf is this common? and should i also be asking for a copy of the original agreement? this was pre-2008 i took the card out and is not defaulted. I was also going to push my luck with RBS i have 2 cards one being £1.5K the other £5K both defaulted and will disappear from my file next month forever, gonna offer them 40% as a start!! thanks

I got an offer of 50% accepted by Barclaycard for an old Egg card. I also had an offer of ~50% rejected by Arrow/RMA for an old Egg loan - at the time their counter offer was the same as what they had suggested two years previously (when I cleared the BC/EC) - even though I'd paid ~£2k off the balance in that time...
