my other half has two houses already so really this is for me.
i dont remember when i last registered for the electoral roll.
im not in a rush to buy but i thin its about time i started to look in to it.Savings so far.
Managed to get savings up to 16.5k in the last two years.
2014.
just reached 20k savings just 5k more to reach my target of 25k for this year.
Target 5k more but as much as i can really for 2014.0 -
Bought my 1st house in 89. When I moved in 2007 was told would be refused mortgage if not on electoral roll. There is always someone trying to make new rules and add layers of bureaucracy.

Electoral roll registration serves an important purpose in that it links data together. Without it there's no certainty. No excuse for not being on it either.0 -
And yet, somehow they managed in 1989. How did we cope?
Usually it consisted of having a few years relationship with the financial institution, rather than following a link from a comparison website.
No doubt all the newly trained HIPS providers believed buying a house would be impossible without their amazing skills.Been away for a while.0 -
I have never had a credit card or any kind of loan and had no problem getting a mortgage.0

i have spoken to my mum and she said i was registered at her house all the time until i moved out 1 year ago so i have now just registered again.Savings so far.
