Allowance/wages: signing off then back on

I'll be signing off at the end of this week, having worked for 3 weeks and only in the 3rd week going over the 16hour threshold that means I sign off. I'll work for another 2 weeks after that, then (unless some other work turns up) I'll sign on again. I won't get paid for the work I'm doing now for 3 weeks (end of the month payment).

My question is, when I sign back on, which will be round about when I get paid for the work I'm doing just now, will the jobcentre deduct the wages payment from the new claim?

One time previously it was deducted but this was (as far as I can make out) because I never signed off, having remained under the threshold the whole time. What I earned in that period was taken off my allowance for around a month, leaving me with v little. I didn't expect this as another time previously they didn't deduct it - that time, however, I did sign off then back on.

So, experience tells me that I won't have it deducted if I sign off then back on. However, this was 2 years ago and I don't know if the system still works in that way.

Anyone in the know about this?
