6. There are six (6) prizes to be won: one (1) holiday for two in South Africa; and five (5) Ecover cleaning bundles.
South African Holiday
7. The winner of the South African holiday prize will receive a trip for two adults (aged 18 years or over) with Virgin Holidays to South Africa, consisting of two return economy class flights with Virgin Atlantic Airways (VAA) from London Heathrow to Johannesburg, internal connecting flights and transfers in South Africa, and four nights' accommodation for two adults on a shared basis in a luxury room at the Shamwari Game Reserve, South Africa. The prize also includes game drives and all meals. The prize does not include transfers to and from London Heathrow, premium brand beverages, telephone calls or laundry.
8. The prize is only redeemable by the prize winner. The prize must not be sold to any third party.
9. The prize is subject to availability at the time of booking. It must be taken and completed before 30 April 2015 and must not include a Saturday or Sunday night . The following blackout dates apply, over or during which the prize cannot be taken: UK national and state school holidays. Flights and accommodation must be booked in advance through Virgin Holidays according to the instructions provided by GNM. Flights and accommodation cannot be changed once the booking has been confirmed, and are non-transferable and non-refundable, with no name or date changes allowed. The prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the winner is unable to use the prize in accordance with these terms and conditions. Flights cannot be upgraded and are not eligible to earn Flying Club Miles. Both travellers must travel at the same time on the same itinerary.
10. The prize includes airline and hotel taxes and fuel charges but does not include costs of travel insurance, visas, vaccinations, excess baggage charges, other taxes, additional excursions, spending money, hotel incidentals or personal costs, or any other costs not specifically mentioned as included in the prize, all of which are the responsibility of the winner and his/her guest. GNM accepts no responsibility for any costs associated with taking up the prize that are not expressly included in the prize.
11. The winner and his/her guest must ensure that they have valid passports, visas, travel insurance and any relevant vaccinations at the time of travel. GNM accepts no responsibility if the winner and/or guest are unable to travel due to insufficient documentation. The winner and his/her guest shall be responsible for complying with local laws, health or government requirements and for checking these prior to travel. The normal travel and booking conditions of Virgin Holidays and Virgin Atlantic apply and can be found at https://www.virginholidays.com. GNM is not responsible for cancellation, delays or changes to travel times or any other part of the prize or for the inability of the prize winner to take up any part of the prize due to problems with travel or any other factor outside GNM's control.
Ecover Cleaning Bundles
12. Each of five (5) winners of an Ecover cleaning bundle will receive: a Multi-Action Spray; an All Purpose Cleaner; a Power Cleaner; a Pomegranate Washing Up Liquid; and a Non-Bio Detergent (Gel, Laundry Liquid or Powder).
Winner Selection and Notification
13. The winners of the six prizes will be the first six entries drawn by way of a random draw from all valid entries received in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. The winner of the South African holiday will be the first entry drawn, and the five winners of the Ecover cleaning bundles will be the next five entries drawn. The draw will be performed by way of a random computer process. The draw will take place between 23 May 2014 and 5 June 2014.
14. The winners will be notified by phone or email by 25 June 2014 and given details of how to claim their prize. Winners of the Ecover cleaning bundles will have their prize despatched to them by 31 July 2014. If a winner does not confirm that they intend to accept the prize by email or post to GNM within 14 days of being notified of their win (including in the event that the winner cannot be reached), or their entry is invalid or in breach of these terms, the winner's prize will be forfeited and GNM shall be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above (and that winner will have to respond to notification of their win within 14 days or else they will also forfeit their prize).
15. The name of the six winners can be obtained after 23 July 2014 by sending a stamped addressed envelope to the following address: Marketing Department, Guardian News & Media Limited, Kings Place, 90 York Way, London N1 9GU.
Other Terms
16. The six (6) winners may be required to take part in promotional activity related to the Prize Draw and the winners shall participate in such activity on the reasonable request of the Promoter, Virgin Holidays, Ecover and any other organisation involved in the promotion or administration of the Awards. The winners consent to the use by such entities and their related companies, both before and after the closing date of the Prize Draw for an unlimited time, of the winners' voice, image, photograph and name for publicity purposes (in any medium, including still photographs and films, and on the internet, including any websites hosted by the Promoter and its related companies) and in advertising, marketing or promotional material without additional compensation or prior notice and, in entering the Prize Draw, all Voters consent to the same.
17. The Promoter shall use and take care of any personal information you supply to it as described in its privacy policy, a copy of which can be seen at http://www.theguardian.com/help/privacy-policy, and in accordance with data protection legislation. By entering the Prize Draw, you agree to the collection, retention, usage and distribution of your personal information in order to process and contact you about your Prize Draw entry and the claiming of your prize, and for the purposes outlined in paragraph 16 above. In order to facilitate the taking of the prize, GNM may provide your personal information to the prize providers, including Virgin Holidays, who will retain your personal information in accordance with their own privacy policies.
18. GNM, Virgin Holidays and Ecover accept no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the Prize Draw or accepting a prize. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude the liability of GNM, Virgin Holidays or Ecover under law for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for death or personal injury resulting from their negligence.
19. Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and not redeemable for cash or any other prize.
20. GNM reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this Prize Draw with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its reasonable control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud). GNM reserves the right to substitute the specified prizes at its discretion with alternative prizes of similar value in the event that the original prizes offered are not available. The decision of GNM in all matters relating to the Prize Draw is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
