correct way to give notice

Have tenants on a 6 month AST-and no particular issues.

simply wish to give them appropriate notice that term is ending.

normally don't have to do it,as tenants extend;but whilst we have no problems with our current tenants;we simply wish/need to give them notice that tenancy agreement is ending and we need them to move on.

The 6 month AST obliges us to give them 2 months written notice (i.e notify/remind them that the term is ending in two months )

I just want to do this simple task ,the right and professional way.

somewhere on here-there is probably a simple template ,and i'd like to follow that to ensure i do it professionally and correctly.

again-no distress situation-just routine-but want to get the routine right so if someone could point me in the right direction of an appropriate template/wording; i would be very grateful.

thank you

    S21 (1)(b)

    Example S21(1)(b) & S21(4)(a)

Make sure the dates are right.

If you took a deposit, it is registered, right?

Since you want to 'avoid distress' (impossible I'm afraid when kicking someone out of their home), accompany it with a friendly/sympathetic letter.

It is helpful to tenants to offer to allow them to surrender the tenancy any time earlier than the S21 expiry date if/when they find a new home to move to.
