JSA, signing on and holidays

Hi
I know that if you holiday in the UK, you don't have to sign off JSA which is a relief as were off to the coast during May half term.
But I'm just enquiring as to what happens re signing on.
I'm due to sign next week (13th May) and then again on the 27th, only trouble is we'll be away then.
I'd already mentioned this holiday (paid for by my in laws) to my advisor and she said its fine, I just need to fill in a holiday form which she will give me nearer the time.
Ill be signing on as normal next week. Will I get the holiday form to fill in then? Will they ask me to go sign on just before we go away? Or is it done automatically in my absence? A friend of mine said they asked her to sign on twice in one week (once for that week and a sort of advanced signing for the week she would be away)

Yes, you will usually have to go in again the day before you go away if you are going to miss a signing day. It is unlikely to be an 'advanced' signing - payments will be suspended.0

As above, you will attend the day after you return and sign for the dates you have missed, you will not be advanced I'm afraid. Have you stated you will be looking for work whilst away? If so they will still want detailed jobsearch. You can be excused from looking and have a break from looking provided you declare so before you go and you can only be excused form actively seeking for a maximum of two weeks in any one year.0
