Hi guys
Just sold a treadmill at buy it now on ebay for 110, clearly stated that it was for spares or repairs and is faulty, person who bought it contacted me asking to post and was fine with it, i made sure i mentioned item was faulty again and she said that she did not know item was faulty so doesnt want it now. Well i've just lost £14 on ebay fees/buy it now fees!!
Have contacted buyer asking them to pay at least half of it
So who should pay the fees now? Seller or the buyer?

Open an unpaid item dispute. Don't do a mutual. You'll get your fees back.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Why should you pay for other peoples inability to read correctly??? I would do as Fay suggests and wait for them not paying and then do an unpaid dispute. Unfortunately, this doesn't help you, but that's Ebay for you!!If I had 8 hours to chop down a tree, I'd spend 6 hours sharpening my axe0

I'd let them know that if they don't agree to pay the fees, you will open an unpaid item dispute (after 7 days) to reclaim your fees, they may be willing to cough up, esp if you point out that the dispute may affect their future Ebay status..0

Buyers do not read listings properly at all, they very rarely get further than price!
I've sold 10 mountain boards in the last 3 weeks, at the very top in big bold letters I state that I cannot book a courier without a contact phone number, 8 out of 10 buyers have not supplied one and I have had to chase them for the number, I also say that I will not accept paypal payments from unconfirmed addresses, 2 buyers have been unconfrimed and I refunded them - one was ok and paid over the phone, one has turned funny and no longer wants it. He has not resopnded to the dispute and I will close on Monday to get my fees back."There is a light that never goes out"0
