Virgin media woes

I have recently downgraded my Virgin package from everything(a special 1 year deal at half price,18 month contract) I had them remove- Movies, sport and cut down my broadband to a slower speed to save money,as the package was going to cost £120 a month.. The problem is now that I cannot now watch the movies I recorded when I had the movie channels subscription. Surely this is wrong as I have technically paid for these. Any ideas.

Sky are the same, it does feel wrong. Virgin is the worse company I have ever come across. Sky isnt much better thats why ive dumped them all. Have got bt now, tv costs 10 quid, we channels we want and the kids get the disney channel and stuff.

Yes it is wrong - but it has always been stated in the terms of service. If you upgrade, they'll be watchable again so spin them off to another medium, but the PVR will always lock access to channels you don't subscribe to whether recording or playback.
