Quick question on booking a family room for just 2 adults

Hi all
Im looking for a hotel near cheddar in somerset for a short break in May.
Ive found a really good price for a hotel, but the price for family rooms (2 adults and 2 kids) is half the price of the double room per night.
Its me and a friend going, and we wont have any kids with us, but will the hotel care that weve booked a family room. It seems a no brainer as its a much bigger room, for half the price, but dont want to get there to discover that the hotel wont accept the booking for a family room with just 2 adults.
