answer = C) Japanese Cherry Blossom
Emerald Street is joining the celebrations by giving one reader and three friends the chance to enjoy a special afternoon of limited-edition cherry blossom sake cocktails, bento boxes and desserts in the specially created pop-up garden, which is filled with a spectacular display of pink cherry blossom and dotted with Jo Malone blossom-scented candles.
The afternoon will take place on Saturday 26 April when guests will experience the spectacle of Kagami Biraki. This time-honoured Japanese ceremony sees the lid of a sake barrel being dramatically broken open with a wooden mallet before the sake inside is served in traditional cups, accompanied by Japanese Taiko drummers with their captivating, high energy, carnival-like performance. Guests will enjoy a selection of cocktails at the Sakura bar at midday where they will enjoy the entertainment, and afterwards head to the main restaurant to enjoy the Sakura menu, which includes specialities such as seven-spice chicken kuwayaki, spring salad, California rolls, chu-toro, sashimi, cherry blossom tea ice-cream, chocolate dessert and macarons, among other treats.
This competition will close at 11.59pm on 13 April 2014.
