I had recently gone through the process of moving to a new address to be nearer to my work and save money on fuel and helping the enviroment part of this was to call my insurance company in this case gladiator insurance to notify them of my new address which by the way cost me £4.00 for a few minute on my phone i was told that i would have to pay an extra £560.00 on my policy if i wanted cover at my new address i was moving from a highly populated high crime area to a remote well to do rural area which is in fact a lower risk area according to the statistics. my original policy was £640.00 has anyone else had similar problems with these insurers
PS: when i done the maths it was cheaper to stay where i was

Have you done a dummy quote with them?

Put your name backwards and use next door etc. Then see how much they quote for the new address. Although that wont take into account who underwrites your current policy.

It maybe cheaper to cancel and go elsewhere anyway.
