Bought Video Card, arrived Dead.

Hi all,

Might have a problem, took a chance and bought a video card from ebay - seller had 100% feedback.

It arrived after 2 weeks, tested in 2 P.C's - they just beep with this video card in - it's faulty.

Seller quoted on his listing:

"BOUGHT AS A BUNDLE OF ITEMS , WAS TOLD IT POWERS ON, UNTESTED BY MYSELF AS I DONT HAVE THE TIME SO BUYER BUYS AT OWN RISK"

Does this mean i'm stuffed? (paid by paypal).

Contacted seller - no reply yet......

Should I raise a dispute with paypal?

Also noticed he has a negative from yesterday!

Generally on ebay the words "untested" = broken.

    I assume it was cheap?

It was £36 - not that cheap.

So it's my own fault for buying it then.....

I would still like to know if he can get away with selling broken stuff by using a poor disclaimer in the listing.

Are there no ebay rules about this?

I don’t know but there are life rules about being careful.

should have warned you to steer well clear unless you could get it for a pound or two at most.
