All entries must be received by midnight on Sunday, June 1, 2014. 6. The winners will be contacted within seven days of the closing date of the prize draw. Should the Promoter be unable to contact a winner or should a winner be unable to accept the prize, the Promoter reserves the right to award the prize to an alternative winner, drawn in accordance with these terms and conditions.
7. The prizes as described are available on the date of publication.
8. One winning entrant will win a short break for two at the Macdonald Marine Hotel & Spa, North Berwick from Friday, September 26 to Saturday, September 27, 2014. The prize comprises the following package:
• Accommodation based on two people sharing a twin or double in a superior room on a bed and breakfast basis;
• Two 1-day general access tickets to The 2014 Ryder Cup on Saturday 27th September;
• Return rail travel from Edinburgh Waverley to Gleneagles at 0903am or park & ride for one car from Stirling, Kinross or Perth.
• 18 holes and lunch at the Renaissance Club, East Lothian on either Friday, September 27 or Sunday, September 29, 2014. Specific tee times may apply.. Note winners must hold an official golf handicap of 24 (men) / 36 (women) or below. Proof of handicap may be required.
• Up to £100 towards travel.
9. Five runners-up will each win a pair of 1-day general access tickets to The 2014 Ryder Cup on Friday 26th September
10. The prizes do not include travel between the winner’s home and East Lothian, travel insurance, food and drink, personal expenditure or incidental costs, other than where mentioned. The travel allowance will be payable upon presentation of invoices/receipts in support of allowable expenditure. The maximum amount of travel allowance payable will be at Visit Scotland’s discretion, and in any event will not exceed £100.
11. All prizes are subject to availability, non transferable and there are no cash alternatives.
12. The winners may be required to participate in publicity and registration details will be required and made public.
13. Events may occur that render the prize draw itself or the awarding of the prize impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and accordingly the Promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof.
