Universal Jobmatch to be axed

I wonder how they managed to waste so much on this - most of the 'technology' already existed. The additional money seemed to be mainly spent on making that original technology even worse to the point of being broken for some of the most basic of aspects.
How much was spent on things not related to the core requirement of creating a job search website? Not as much as was spent on various 'incentives I'd wager.0 -
I thought the job centre website was fine before Universal Jobmatch replaced it. If it ain't broken don't fix it. Two years too long in my opinion.0

There is a very simple process to stop the fake jobs and scams. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

It has taken them approx 18 months to get an option on it to attach a cover letter yet the Monster site has this option.KevInChester wrote: »I wonder how they managed to waste so much on this - most of the 'technology' already existed. I believe its the UJM people who never asked for this as an option.
Either way it't not the site that allows the scam adverts its the UJM and their policies etcWe’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Indeed is a really good website. I also have had a lot of success from Twitter by following a lot of local businesses (who advertise vacancies.) That's how I got my new job, and also another two interviews from it. I saw a tweet about a local tourism/heritage fayre this week, which I had been intending to go and see if anyone was hiring/do a CV drop.0 -
UJM was rubbish for all but the lowest paid jobs.
Indeed is good, but suffers from them stuffing the search with paid/promoted jobs, and jobs outside of the area you've searched for.
You then get terrible recruitment agencies listing jobs without listing the area, meaning you waste your time contacting them when you find out the job in Skye istead of Stratford.0
