Default date is not right

I'm a student and I went to increase my student overdraft, but was denied. This lead to me to check with noddle.co.uk to see my credit history and to see where there may be a problem.
I noticed a debt being pursued by 1St Credit Limited which should have been statute barred by now.
Some information on the debt: It was back in 2007 with my bank. I was overdrawn and they allowed the debt to amass to £500+ before informing me. Opening a letter saying I owed £500 was a shock, I was young and I promptly ignored it. There was no way I was paying the money when they didn't inform me until it got out of control. I never spoke to the bank about it (which I know in hindsight I probably should've done to fix all this and significantly reduce the debt - I'm older and wiser now). I kept track of the debt occasionally via the letters to my parents address, but never acknowledged it.
I know for a fact they sold the debt on in 2007 and that I defaulted on the debt in 2007.
Fast forward to today and I'm checking my history on noddle and I see the wrong dates and information entirely.
For example, they list the account opening as 25/05/2007. If that's my bank account, it's totally wrong, that was 2005. If it's the date of the default then it's right.
They state that there's a monthly repayment frequency. This is wrong, I've never paid a penny nor spoken to anyone to agree to.
The "default balance" is £6. Not sure what this is, but they want £500+.
The date of the default is 15/09/2010, which cannot be possible. Maybe this is the date they purchased the debt, but that is not the default date.
What can I do about this? It's been over 6 years. It should be statute barred by now and stricken from the credit history, but they're updating it every month and it's slaughtering my credit.
