British Credit Trust debt problem

Hi all,

I have a problem with BCT and wanted your opinions please.

I have an HP agreement with BCT and I handed the car back in 2011. They have been writing to me for the balance of the account (which I have been unable to pay) and the account defaulted the same year. In August last year, they assigned the debt to Frederickson international and it now shows on my credit file as satisfied with a note saying debt and liability have been transferred. I have been getting letters from Frederickson International, but now I've started getting letters again from BCT even though they passed this debt on.

What do I do in this situation? Can BCT still hassle me even though they have no liability for the debt?

Any opinions and advice would be gratefully received.
