Can the JC make you apply for a job thats not NMW but a low base rate and the rest made of sales commission?
This could also work out that the travel spent to get to the job leaves you with a - figure earnt each week. Well unless you get fired first?

Regardelss of pay? Where does it say that?
If you dont sell (telesales) you get no commission!

There is not a definitive answer to this. Assuming the position is an employed one then the employer should supplement your income to NMW if ever you fell below it, so you would be expected to apply. I say should because some employers will try not to. If self employed it is likely you could argue that you would not be better off working, in which case you would not be sanctioned.0 -

The key is whether the post is employed or self employed, in the former case the employer would have to pay you NMW even if your commission did not reach that level. They cannot circumvent the law0 -

If they were to pay everyone NMW then there would be no need for commission, would there?

I wouldn't assume you are going to be employed without asking the question. Jobs like these tend not to give the full story at first - they know most people do not want to be SE.
I am dubious because of the pay structure. As you say, why would they not automatically offer NMW if they are willing to pay it anyway? Do you have a link to the ad?0 -
Why dont you give up the company car you say you have a get a bike ! LOL
Could you cycle 70 miles a day? I bet you couldn't

Wonder what tax payers contrubute to your Child allowence and anything else you will now get since I see you are divorced. Maybe you will get someone to live if the ex wants the house back or you only get a small part of it in a pay out. We’ve had to remove your signature.
