  • Yesterday was another NSD :money:

Was supposed to go to some dinner party thing at my friend's place last night but decided not to at the last minute. Not sure if I am coming down with something or if I'm just in a bad mood but I feel like crap.

I am supposed to be tidying and getting ready for a boot sale that is supposed to be happening next weekend but it's already half way through the day and I have done nothing, whoopsie.

Bedroom is also a mess and there's heaps of washing that needs doing. Then it's proper cleaning day tomorrow. Gotta love the weekend lol.

Well I finally got paid for my extra hours. YAY!

(I also earned a little bit of interest.)

So that's $892.58 to the House Deposit Savings which brings us to $8,101.47.

Made it into the 8,000's :money:

Off to update my signature and of course my spreadsheets!

And in other news, I feel really tired lately which is odd because I am getting the most consistent sleep I've had since I finished high school, and I am getting at least 7-8 hours in every night. I suppose I should just accept the fact that I'm not and will never be a morning person. I just hate waking up and feeling like crap, it puts me in a bad mood the whole entire day.

Better be off to bed I suppose.

Oh and I should also add that today was not an NSD as I had to go to the pet shop and buy some fish medication as my fish are now covered in white fungus. So $12 later I now have a blue fish tank and fish that will hopefully get better soon. I am so over this fish tank. Oh and did I mention the fact that the tank has a snail infestation? Tiny, evil little snails everywhere!

Working, working, working and that's all really. Trying to act like a properly functioning adult and keep up with chores such as washing and the like instead of putting them off, but alas my talents seem to lie elsewhere :embarasse. I really want to start a proper exercise routine but I really lack the motivation. I know I probably need to get up early in the mornings and do it before work but I am a night owl, can't go to sleep early and body refuses to wake up early. All in due time I suppose.

I am excited to finally have an Easter off for the first time in years. :easter_ba Mum and I are going to visit my Aunt and Uncle so that is definitely something to look forward to. I'm trying to stay off the chocolate but I'm sure that will all go out the window once easter gets here.

Got a refund for an item that I had returned so decided to live on the edge and transfer it to my savings… so $10.59 to the House Deposit Savings which brings it to $8,112.06 :money::money::money:

  • YAY it's the weekend! I am off to a great start already as I've managed to not sleep in too much.

Have been spending a lot of time lately thinking about what type of house I want to buy in the future and how I'm going to get to that point.

I really want to build a cute american style house but I know that is unrealistic. I suppose I'll end up with a 2 bedroom flat or something.

  • Hi everyone! Hope you all had a good Easter!
    :easter_ba

I went with my mum to visit my aunt and uncle on their farm, it was very nostalgic as that is the town/area that I grew up in. Very much a blast from the past. We drove past our old house and snuck through the fence and had a look, I don't think there's anyone living there anymore as it was all very overgrown :( A bit sad really. Made me very sad to go back there as that was the last place I felt safe and happy as a child. Everything went downhill after we left that place, my parents divorced, etc. It's weird thinking about these things as an adult, even though I know that I am happy now and I am in charge of my own life now it's still very scary to remember how out of control my life was back then and how there wasn't anything I could do about it.

Anyways, the old savings is coming along well.

Paid my usual fortnightly $400 into the House Deposit Savings as well as $10.59 that I had left over from the grocery budget and an extra $14.59 that I didn't have a place for when I got paid. So that brings it to $8,526.21. :money:

Today is my last day off and then it's back to work on Tuesday. Should probably go and do something constructive instead of sitting around on the computer.

  • So lately I have been stalking RealEstate.com.au to see what the market was like and to research the area that I would like to buy in and what's available, etc. and I was getting very disheartened as there wasn't a lot that I could afford or that was suitable. And then today I realised that I had the search set on ______ city instead of ______ city and surrounding suburbs. LOL oopsie. Needless to say, now I am having a field day looking at all the houses.

  • We had a garage sale today and my cut was $33.15 so I've shoved that straight into the House Deposit Savings. Now at $8,559.36.

  • Well the weekend is nearly over :(

Today's MSE effort was washing my car myself which was free instead of taking it to the car wash which would cost around $16 :money:

I'm trying very hard to go cold turkey off the chocolate. Today's my 3rd day without it and I feel like I could kill someone. I also have the shakes and a headache. It's a real addiction, people.

Hopefully the withdrawal symptoms won't last too much longer. I reckon I would spend around $15 on chocolate during a 'bad' week, time to sit back and see the savings roll in (provided I don't relapse lol).
