If Scotland goes independant, it won't get in to the ec as Spain won't let it in, it will be full bore passport and Customs controls at the border - there are only a dozen crossing so it won't be that difficult to close the border to vehicles and the A1 already has the area set aside for the border post.

The EC does not import sugar or products with sugar in them therefore no Dundee cake from Dundee or Scotish shortbread from Scotland, whisky will double in price because of Irish will protect their production of Jameson's.
Do you want your money back, and a bit more, search for 'money claim online' - They don't like it up 'em Captain Mainwaring

Rubbish. Border controls have nothing to do with whether countries are in the EU or not. There are border controls between the UK and France, both in the EU. There are no border controls between Sweden and Norway, Sweden is in the EU, Norway isn't. So Scotland's EU membership will have nothing whatsoever to do with border controls.

Zaax is talking utter rubbish! There won't be a border as others have said, EU or no EU.

There will be very little difference for anyone going there on holiday.
  • Banning Scotland from the EU would be a great selling point for independence, no European courts telling us what we can and cant do with prisoners, immigrants etc., what we can and cant do with things which affect the people of the county.

Sorry to inform you of this, but the European Court of Human Rights is nothing to do with the EU. Travelling across Europe from Iceland to Azerbaijan the only country not a member is Belarus.

Even if Scotland votes for independence (which it won't) then they are sure to remain in the Common Travel Area between the UK, Ireland, the Channel Islands and Isle of Man (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_Travel_Area)

If Scotland does become independant, what will happen to the Union Flag ?
Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Blue & Green with a Dragon in the middle, that would look good.
Or we may have someone from Plaid Cymru come along and say if Wales has a Parliament they don't want to be on the Union Jack.
