Credit rating affected by Glass loan?
Hi Guys,
New to the forum
I am interested in getting a Glass Loan from Waitrose, but am currently in the middle of a mortgage application and worry this will affect my credit rating negatively? Does anyone know if this is the case?
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks,
Alex

I presume the glass loan is where they lend you a crate of glasses for a party or similar?
Why would that affect your credit score? Its not a loan. I presume you need to leave a deposit in case of breakages or non return.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Its a loan in the financial sense. Go to the store and enquire about the glass loan.forgotmyname wrote: »I presume the glass loan is where they lend you a crate of glasses for a party or similar?

I think experian reduce their credit score by ten points for each glass you smash, so be careful!0 -
Well the offer is clear and transparent at least...DEBT FREE AND PROUD'Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt'0

Make sure the repayment terms are crystal clear0

Don't wine about it and just keep your spirits up. Just accept the loan and hope the mortgage company dosnt pinot on you.0

Don't lie on the application form as they will see right through your lies.I can afford anything that I want.

We're going through London and Country for our mortgage (FTBs) and were told not to get any loans - as all types of loan will appear on our credit fileforgotmyname wrote: »I presume the glass loan is where they lend you a crate of glasses for a party or similar?

We did have to leave a deposit. So I guess what you're saying is provided we return everything okay and get our deposit back we won't have any bad credit?
Edit: Just to add we got the glasses today for our come dine with me dinner party. You might even get an invite for helping!!!0
