Hi all
Bit of background, i am a 26 year old mum of 4 little ones, oldest is almost 8, youngest is 2, as you can imagine this would involve a few gaps in my employment.
since school i have had a few jobs ie sainsburys, tesco, cab office
i have finally started to put into practise my dreams of becominga triage nurse and am starting college in September.
I have applied for a few jobs and have got an interview with the NHS on wednesday.
It s bank work and it is for the pharmacy department, i was just wondering if anyone could help me with how to up my chnaces of getting the job
I really really really want it
many thanks

Hi Kim
First of all congratulations on following up your dreams of becoming a nurse. It is a hard career and one that is very undervalued by most!
As for the chance of success I'd say make sure go dressed smartly, and importantly turn up early (I'd say leaving at least 20 minutes prior to your interview) - there may be forms you need to fill in.
Check the job description and person specifications again and ensure that you are prepared to answer any questions they have on what is essential for interview stage.
Lastly, do not over stress yourself. Take your time when answering questions and don't just garble out the first things that come into your mind! Don't hesitate to ask them to repeat a question if you don't understand, or say you don't understand!0 -
thanks for your reply Sinhanada
My OH will be taking me to my interview so i will be there 15-20 minutes early, also washed and ironed my smartest clothes
the problem i applied for a job ages ago with the NHS, i unfortunatley didnt get an interview but they kept my details on fle and my name has come up in a search for a candidate, so unfortunatley i have no idea of the job description, what is expected of me etc.
all i know is that it is the Phamacy Department.
Thanks again for your reply. x0 -
In that case it wouldn't be unreasonable to ask them to send you a job description so you can see what they are recruiting for. Interviews are a two way street, you need to know it's right for you as well as you being right for them.Make £2024 in 2024
