Funny, I considered which response I would get but levelled with myself that I could either ask advice and make an informed choice, make a choice without talking it through with unbiased people, or get bullied!! I feel lucky, you people have been wonderful!!

All good ideas from previous posters, but don't rely on the Universal Credit situation, in the short term.

It is massively delayed, because of all the IT problems, and the only people that can be manually assessed are single, fit, childless people.:mad:

No one, including Duncan Smith, can say when it will be fit for purpose.

Use the Turn2us site to work it out, in the here and now.

Thanks again to all who have posted advice and opinions.
I have tried the benefits calculators and assuming that they yield reasonably accurate info, I remain as I was, too little gain for too much extra work considering my plans to move back to education whilst remaining in my current job.
I have made my decision.... College in September
