Job Centre Sending People to Scam Jobs

My son is long term unemployed. He is at the moment working voluntarily for someone who has started their own music management business but cannot afford to take him on even as an apprentice. He has been to lots of interviews but no one ever gives him a chance.
This week the job centre have sent him for an 'interview' for a 'marketing' job. This job turns out to be a non job where you have to sell to be able to earn any money at all and the company is a scam with a temporary office. They are told that there are over 300 applicants for each vacancy but in fact everyone who has been unlucky enough to be made to apply gets a 'job'. My son has not got the personality for this. He is quiet and shy and not suited for sales work. So he will not earn any money. Yet he has had to go for the interview and take the 'job' because if he doesn't they will stop his jsa anyway.
However the job centre can now sign him off and he will be classed as 'employed'. He will not get jsa any more. I think this is disgraceful. They should be sending people to proper jobs. I wonder if this is how the government is getting the unemployment figures down. I think I am going to take this up with the job centre. The job centre just want my son off their books as he is on the scrap heap at 24.
If he leaves because he hasn't earned any money, will he be eligible for jsa again?

He needs to make a complaint to the head of the jobcentre and his M.P. in writing. Thats what I would do. If he doesnt get paid any money then I believe he can apply for hardship allowance.0

Jobcentres and Universal Jobmatch is riddled with spam jobs.

Jobcentres are politically driven with Tories directly interfering in what is happening on day to day basis to get unemployment figures down.
It is a scandal.0 -

My Son's partner was offered and accepted a similar job last year. She had to work 6 days a week and purely commission based. Even though advert states an assurance of meeting minimum wage the Company get round it by making you Self-Employed. She lasted 2 days before giving it up as she wouldn't be able to look for other work with such long hours. She signed back on the dole and explained to the Job Centre the exact details as to why she had left. There were no Sanctions put in place whatsoever and she was able to continue and be eligible for the Work programme.0 -
Their name in is amongst the ones at the bottom of the article. He was promised he would be trained as a manager.
