Not sure if this is the right place for this but i just found a hidden deal available.
I signed up for the 30 day free trial and decided to cancel it so i dont have to pay. After going through a few of the 'are you sure' screens, there is one at the end right before you do cancel giving you an offer of 4 months for £6.99 which is usually £8.99 per month.

I was going to cancel halfway through the trial as they normally give you until the end of the billing period to watch films, but i would 'cancel' a week before the trial and then claim the offer.plzhelpmesave! wrote: »Thanks for this. I had Sky Now free trial over Christmas. When you go online to cancel the free trial, the message you get is that you can access the 30 day free trial until the 30 days is up, whenever you cancel. I cancelled a couple of days before and no problem. Had access to it through the TV, but went online via PC to website to cancel just to make sure. I also got the reduced price offer so guess it's standard.
Your account remains live, so you can log in and re-activate or pick a different option whenever you want. Also, no dish or Sky box required which suited me. No problem with streaming or buffering when I used it either. Works pretty much like LoveFilm and Netflix. As well as being able to watch any movie they have when you want, you can also access all the sky movie channels and watch live along with everyone else.
If you watch lots of movies, and haven't got Sky or just mainly watch movies on Sky , this is a pretty good deal IMO. Even the standard price of £8.99 a month for movies is cheap compared to having standard Sky. Combine with Freeview and you have a pretty good sport free package. I managed to go through most of their decent movies in the 30 days, so could be worth signing up every few months to give them time to update the catalogue.
The Sports option through Sky Now is ridiculously expensive ( a tenner for each 24 hours) but the entertainment package looks ok - i think its about £6 a month for 13 channels. In addition, I believe if you buy an LG Tv you can claim free sports and movie passess as well, and then watch it through your new LG Tv. Not sure if others do the same.
Would be better if they had an all inclusive deal for movies, and some sports, but I guess they know what they are doing (or not!).
I don't work for Sky or have any allegance to them, but I would certainly recommend it as an alternative to a full Sky installation.0 -
I came to MSE to find out more details about Now TV and came across this thread. I gave up sky before Christmas and just use the sky box as a 'freesat' box. Could someone tell me what the Now TV box will give me above and beyond the 'free' channels I currently get.
I know that you can pay for the entertainment pack, movie pack and sports pack but to be honest the only thing I really watch apart from the free channels is Stella on Sky 1. I was just going to buy the dvd when it comes out. I also like to watch 'catch-up' tv but have to watch it all on my laptop.
I can't afford to go back to a monthly sky subscription so that's why I'm trying to find out what the Now TV box gives me for £10 without any 'add ons'. Hope someone can help.DEBT FREE BY 60Starting Debt 21st August 2019 = £11,024

I read your post that this was offering 4 months for £6.99 - it is actually offering 4 months at £6.99 per month (unless the offer has changed?).
Never mind, may have to cancel and see what the future brings.
Does anyone know of any better deals out there please? Have been very impressed with NowTV but not if paying £8.99 per month...
Many thanks

The six months for £15 (i.e. £2.50 per month) was good offer, but no longer available. When I recently cancelled (at the end of six months) they offered an ongoing monthly charge of £6.99, way too expensive.0

I am in my final month of a 6 month offer that I paid £15 for. I am in two minds to cancel now or go onto the £8.99 rolling month contract.
Originally is used to be £15 per month but I notice this has been reduced to £8.99 now.
I do think though that the new movies being added aren’t as good as they used to be since they launched the new Sky Store which allows you to rent individual movies similar to iTunes.
Does anyone have any tips for me here?0
