Driving instructor, taken my money

On the town facebook/forum where people recommend him 'Hi, anyone seeing Mr XYZ this week? I'm trying to get hold of him about some lessons I'd booked for my son but don't seem able to get hold of him??'. It's not dissing his reputation in public but it kinda gets things out there a bit more...0

thanks Paddy, I've used your phrasing on the facebook page and my friend has left a message on his voicemail asking for a call back about lessons.
I'll update with any info.:beer:0 -

I've had an idea, I might get a friend to enquire about lessons, see if she gets a call back fom him.
Yes he would be able to untag himself, but probably not before people had seen and it may just kick him into action if he is actually avoiding you. If he's not, then it would bring it to his attention that you're worried you havent heard back from him!You keep using that word. Can you tell what time they use facebook? If they never use it after 10pm. Then post just after that time so others may see it before they remove it.
Are they an approved driving instructor? ADI badge? Not a learner?

Exactly what I do and I think it still stays on peoples timelines too even if deletedforgotmyname wrote: »Can you tell what time they use facebook? If they never use it after 10pm. Then post just after that time so others may see it before they remove it.0 -
My friend had a phone call back quite quickly, he introduced himself and asked if she would like to make an appointment for a first lesson this week. She said that actually she didn't and was calling on behalf of Mrs Fiendishly, he replied 'Mrs who? Never heard of her' and hung up.:beer:0

Can you get another friend to enquire and book an appointment and then you can be waiting at the designated pick up? It's a bit forward but it sounds like they won't deal with you unless you are forcefull. Good luck!0

I think I have established now that he really is pretending that I didn't give him the money.
So now I need to find some way of getting it back. I will look to see if there's a regulatory body for driving instructors, and if there is see what they suggest.:beer:0 -
How did you pay? Cash, cheque? Is there a papertrail? Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

If you quote me, don't forget the capital 'M'

Although that code of practice appears to be voluntary, there is a list of possibly helpful organisations at the bottom of that page.0
