Just wanted to let all debt free wannabees know that you can get there in the end! My Lightbulb moment was in 2005 when after living above my means for several years and putting my head in the sand when the credit card bills came in I finally decided to bite the bullet. After discovering that I actually owed almost £30k on credit cards, store cards, loans and overdrafts I was horrified. My saviours came in the form of this website and the CCCS (now Step Change) who helped me from the word go and have been there for me every step of the way. Now, 9 years on I will be making my final payment on the 1st February and I will be officially debt free and have paid every penny off myself :-).
You can do it if you put your mind do it people!!!
