Which type of job?

I have a few jobs around the house and for some of them, I've no idea which kind of tradesman I need

Interior doors are squeaking when moving, and the lock on one is broken (the latch is stuck inward so the door bangs noisily against the door frame) - joiner?

Manrose extractor fan in bathroom is very dirty and I think needs replacing - electrician?

Sorry if this sounds very stupid but I've no idea about these things.

Doesn't sound like anything that a handyman couldn't cope with.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

Squeaking doors just need a bit of oil or silicone spray on the hinges
Measure the distance from the edge of the door to the centre of the handle, go to DIY shop and either buy 62mm or 75mm mortise latch to match ( about £1.50 to £ 2 and unscrew/refit the 2 screws holding it + remove and refit one handle to allow the latch to remove
Manrose fan - remove small screw to side, remove cover and wash under tap, clean out around inside with small brush, refit cover
Simple and no cost other than buying the mortise latch

Trying to sort the latch. The screws on the faceplate came out easily but cannot remove the handle. There are no screws. It's a concealed rose I think but I cannot get the rose cover off no matter how heard I try twisting if. There's a very small hexagonal type slot at the bottom of the handle where it meets the rose (perhaps for a small Allan key). Any advise?

The small hexagon screw is an allen key fixing
This is what locks the handle on to the spindle bars that goes through the door to the other handle
You will need a small allen key to remove this screw, from both sides of the door handles. This will allow the handle to be pulled out of the door after the rose is removed/unscrewed
If there is no small screw at the bottom of the rose, and it will not unscrew, then it is probably a snap on cover. Try prising off which will allow you to get to the screws under. Remove these screws and the handle will pull off, this will release the mortise latch.
Push new latch into hole, push square spindle bar back through door and refit handles/rose covers and the refit the small grub screws using the allan key

I managed to get the rose cover off using a screwdriver and it revealed screws which allowed me to remove the handle. I then removed the latch inside and replace it - all done and cost me £5! Didn't realise it was this simple. Thank you!
