Washer dryer, damaged floor?

So I've got someone coming to fix my washer dryer today and have pulled it out from under the work top ready and noticed a large round grey patch under the machine, any idea what this could be?
The machine bangs and rattles when on spin and the dryer sensor has gone again so things take hours to dry - I've stopped using it as soon as I noticed the fault.
A few weeks ago I had the dryer on around 10pm and the smoke alarms went off could it be connected? I couldn't find any reason at the time why the smoke alarms were going off.

Large grey patch.
Dust or dirt?0 -
If it was the washer it would need smoke coming out of it to set the smoke alarm off.
Grey patch could be a water mark.0
