My hubby stopped being self/employed end of Jan and we have had a few problems with various things I've been waiting for to finish the books.
I've gone online to do them today and it tells me that I don't have that service. Access is denied.
My hubby is now working (paid employment. yippee) and I wondered if that made a difference. Although he will be declaring nil income (was diagnosed with an illness and had to give up) i still have to complete his books don't I.
He got a form saying he had to complete it. Can anyone help (I know i need to ring HMRC but i wont have hubby with me till Saturday)

I don't think being employed now would remove access to your self assessment online. If the login is in his name, you might not be able to get it up and running again until he can phone them, but it might be worth a try before he gets back, it may be a glitch.
but yes, you do still have to do the return ...Signature removed for peace of mind0
