Is it worth trying to put a claim in for DLA

My partner recently had to give up work because she is suffering from post natal depression. I am in a full time a job and we have child tax credits. The question I would like an answer too is it worth my partner trying to claim for DLA and would it effect our child tax credits because at the moment she is not claiming anything.

You can't claim DLA for an adult any more. You have claim PIP. The problem might be (I know very little aout PND, btw) is that it may not last long enough (you need to have the needs 3 months before and expect them to last for at least another 9) to qualify.

My partner has been on anti depressant tablets for year and going on stronger doses and has been receiving counselling . She is getting worse, not better. I will have to have a look at PIP, first time I heard of it, cheers.
