Gtech AirRam or Dyson DC 59?

I've just managed to bag a Gtech AirRam for £90 (sold out now). I was hoping to save up enough clubcard points to buy a Dyson DC59 in the Clubcard boost around Easter (not sure when it the boost applies to all departments though).

The DC59 is £350  which is a lot but i'm hoping to pay around £150 once I get enough points.

Does anyone have experience with both? Reviews are good for both and the Dyson is better in that it comes with tools (or you can get hold of them anyway).

Decisions decisions!

we have the Gtech AirRam its ok on wooden floors but it struggled on carpets and the collection chamber needs emptying every time you use it as its so small.

We have bought this one its as good as the previous Dysons that ive had http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4066514

  • Thanks.

I do need it to work on carpet so that's a plus for the Dyson. I already have a Miele that I use daily.

Have used both cleaner, I sell them, the Dyson is good as it's got suction and is handy for round curtains, walls for dusting, both struggle on shag pile carpet and have small dust bins, I've tried both at home, it a large house and the only hard floor is in the kitchen the rest is carpet, whilst the Dyson was very good the G Tech Air Ram was great, me and the wife both love it, so that's what we bought.

    Hi again
The reason we went for the Air Ram is it feels more substantial than the Dyson, good as it is the Dyson feels like a toy in comparison, the Dyson did preform well and we would have been happy with either cleaner.
We do have a Dyson upright as well, that we don't really use anymore except using the hose for the cobwebs the odd time.
