Balance Transfer Advice

I have a small problem. I was advised wrongly by Barclays Bank that I could transfer balances between Barclaycards!

I have since applied for a 28 month balance transfer and been approved only to find I couldn't move the balance from my older Barclaycard onto the Platinum.

Would it be okay to transfer the money from the old barclaycard to a capitalone that I dont use and then transfer the balance from the capital one to the barclaycard platinum?

I am aware this will cost extra £'s but it will still help me save in interest in the long run?

Next time spend 1 minute on reading Balance transfer terms & conditions instead of relying on words of some idiot from telephone CS.

This time demand some compensation (waived BT fee?) for having been misadvised.
