Abbey Life Tracing Personal Pension Plan Holder

Today I’ve received a letter from the DWP Letter Forwarding Service with a letter from Abbey Life. The Abbey Life letter has a heading of Personal Pension Plan – [their reference number], Plan Holder – [my name]. It says the Royal Mail has returned recent correspondence to Abbey Life and they are seeking confirmation of my current address so that they can send information on my plan.
I was 60 earlier this year. I have no knowledge of having a plan with Abbey Life. The only thing I can think of is that I was with one employer in 1967-69 where I was in a pension scheme for a very short time (think you had to be 21 to be in it) and when I left was under the impression that the only way I would get a pay-out would be if I rejoined an employer in the same scheme and further contributions were then made.
I’ll try phoning Abbey Life on Monday but wondered if anyone knew whether it is likely that this old scheme is going to pay out a few pennies a year. Or is there some other reason?

It could be worth something, well worth persevering, I would say. I think Abbey is now part of resolution life having been sold by LloydsTSB.
Let us know how you get on, good luck!0
