How to find out the type of graphics card my lap top contains?

As per above, it looks like it's the Windows generic VGA driver.
You could try going to Control Panel -> Device Manager -> Display Adapters and see what's there.
The "Driver" tab should show the driver which is in use.
If you go to the "Details" tab, you may see in the information (you might have to change the "Property" pull-down list to "Hardware Ids") some cryptic strings like "PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_95C5&SUBSYS_03421028&REV_00".
Type that into google and it should tell you what your card is.
From there you can search for its driver, which you can then download and install.0 -
What game?
The laptop may not be upto playing it, many are not.0 -

In case you ARE looking at upgrading the card I found this link which I looked at a few years ago, though I didn't follow it up.

As I said though - my card was (is) the ATI Mobility Radeon HD2300
There were two other VGA specs possibilities at the time, as below:
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600
Nvidia GE Force 8400M GS
Also mentioned under the Graphics heading is:
Mobile Intel GM965 Express Chipset with integrated 3D graphics
Maybe that means more to you than it does to me.
The specs are from the Amazon UK site at the time that I bought the laptop. You can lose a loose goose.
You cannot loose a lose goose.
Get it? Now use it before you lose it.
or - Try using it - not losing it.
