Is it me or is the system NS & I are using to cash in my daughters Bond now she is passed 16 a complete joke.

She has many after 16 years of being gifted them by family members and each time one comes around to mature the same labourious task of form filling is required. I tried to speak to someone but was told "its the system" and "it will have to be done each and every time by post". A complete waste of my, my daughters and NS&I's time.
Fuming as now twice within the space of 3 months they have not got the maturity or form correct which has caused added misery.:(

  • Parkster, I agree entirely. I want to cash approx 25 bonds my 15 yr old has accumulated through family kindness, but NSandI are making a simple process very difficult. As you say each bond needs its own paperwork, but also I alone am the nominated keeper of the Bonds, not me and my wife/his mother. NSandI are asking for both signatures for each bond despite that not being stated on their own form. Nonsense!
