Aviva Stakeholder Pension Funds - Another Closure

I have an Aviva Stakeholder Pension S2 and up till now have been happy enough. What's been happening lately though is that they have been closing funds. In the past year they have closed the Newton Higher income fund and now they are closing the BlackRock UK income fund.
The problem is that there is less and less choice and the funds on offer don't seem to be that good.
I'm thinking of moving it to a wrap platform with an IFA but I'm worried about the potential charges.
Any advice please?

Stakeholder plans are considered now to be slightly outdated so you should be able to move it to a personal pension with more choice and probably lower charges.
This would be the case for DIY, you could discuss this with an ifa to get an idea of costs and then weigh up whether moving and or their charges are acceptable.0 -

its a stakeholder. That is normal. Ranges of 1-15 funds only are common. Removals are part of the consequence of RDR.
If you want more than move it. Aviva's stakeholder can be bettered by their personal pension and pension portfolio in most cases. Stakeholder is old hat.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
